I was once told a very funny story off one of the lads who was doing Police training, he was waiting to get into the force. Anyway His partner who he was out on the beat with, loves his car chases. His partner was in a corsa or fiesta police car at the time, going back in the early 90s this was. When a vauxhall calibra driver was giving it some. So he decided to chase after him, the officer went around a rounder a bouts the wrong way etc. Caught up with the calibra driver, and booked him for speeding and dangerous driving. Back up arrived, and the others had saw the smoking police car behind the calibra. Back up lads had a bit of a giggle, said to him, no way you caught him in that, with out doing some sort of mad Censored . They took a photo of him with the two cars, as it was so funny. I believe the photo is on his wall, to this very day. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

A number of years ago one of our boys in blue told me a story. A car was pulled over for driving erratically. When the officer went to the car, the female passenger had her head in the male driver's lap.... 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

Not that it makes any difference, they were Italian and it was a left hand drive car. I think there was a bit of a language barrier too. Would have been an interesting encounter to witness!
I have been checking the rules of the road and I do not see any thing specific regarding the above. I suppose he might have been distracted and therefore was not driving with all of his faculties focused on the road... Whistle 1982 88" 2.25 diesel
