2.4 turbo to cat joint: should there be a gasket?
Hi all,

I dropped the front section of the exhaust today prior to pulling the transmission and was surprised to not find a gasket or seal between the turbo and cat flanges. Should there be one there? No trace of blowing at the joint but seemed weird to rely on face-to-face contact. Any input appreciated

No gasket between the turbo and the downpipe, but there is a gasket between the manifold and the turbo.
