This poor old Series One has not moved for decades, and not for sale either from what I have heard.

They seldom are for sale, the owner is always "going to get round to it one day"!

I know only too well, for I am one. Sad

Wonder why it’s on a Q plate.

It possibly lost its original registration when DVLC took over, then changed hands and was then put back on the road before age-related registrations were made available (this is exactly what happened to my 1961 Iron Fairy). In this case it may be possible to recover the original registration if it is unused and can be proven, or obtain an age related plate.

Alternatively it could have been build from an unspecified number of donor vehicles so that it has no original identity, in which case it is stuck with a Q plate.

If it was ex-Mil and then operated on trade plates it may never have had an old civilian registration of its own.

I suppose that there are multiple scenarios which may have resulted in the Q plate!
