Hi Matt,
To me the delays are getting longer not shorter, even though the backlog is reducing quickly (I have a friend who works at JLR). I changed my order to a D250 last december to reduce the lead time, and was told 6 months to delivery, 6 months later still no build date.. |

Are they employing NHS managers? You can't be on the waiting list more than 6 months or you'll be sent back to the start!

Is the Nitra factory in Slovakia still operating or have all the Ukrainian staff gone home to join the Army?

Interesting link thanks.
I find it hard to understand that the more expensive cars are longer lead times. My V8 is 9-12 but lower priced cars are 6 months. It would make business sense to allocate resource to the greater revenue vehicles |

Hi,
I went to my dealer over the weekend to see if i could get an update based on the latest information and he said they is seems to be no reasoning behind their build Plan. I was surprised how much stock they had, and he told me that they have been getting good deliveries each month but not of customer orders but stock vehicles and mostly lower spec vehicles. Which like you, I find strange that they would build these instead of higher value vehicles where they make more profit. |

I paid a deposit on a 90 HSE with off-road pack, air suspension pack and the advanced off-road capability pack plus front bash plate and classic mud flaps because the dealer told me I would be very lucky to get a new build before June 2023, more likely November 2023 or later…….. it’s to replace my June 2020 delivered D240 when the warranty runs out….. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed! |

Hi Tim,
That is mad… talking to friends who work for JLR the say the plant is running at 100k units a year, OK, some of these will be discos, but a majority are Defenders. Land Rover officially announced that they have backorders for around 40k for Defenders, so we should all have our cars in 6 months … says the man who has been waiting 7 months and still has no build date and according to my dealer, I shouldn’t hope to get one in the next two months. |

Depends on the engine. The P400 for example is now being pushed through. So as well as mine now going to production they also have a few more P400s being slotted.
10months late, 15months in total. Glad I ordered early and 2 days after the XS was launched on the LR website |
