This what I sent to Adam Lamb, via the Eventbrite ticket site,
Who are you, I can see I can purchase tickets through Eventbrite, but who is actually organising the event at the Market Harbourough Show ground, is this event actually happening. It was originally advertised as being at Donington, then at Weston Park, however neither venue knew anything about it, 🤔 And this was the answer I got from Adam Lamb, We had to move venues at Weston park wanted to much money and donnington could only give us a slot to do record attempt on the Sunday. And as demand grew it seemed that people wanted more of a weekend event so we settled on market harborough . We run land rover trips to Scotland. Are you thinking of joining us for thecevent I still don’t trust that it will actually be happening, Ashby Andy 🤔🫤 |

Everything seems to have gone very quiet in the facebook group for this event. Adam has stated that he suffered a stroke recently, hence his lack of input. Not many people seem to be signing up for it, and some have withdrawn already. A few comments still about the cost - its £120 to camp for the weekend, plus a booking fee I think! £17 per person entry too.
As an aside, York Land Rover show (not a Guinness World Record attempt of course) is charging a fiver for entry and a tenner to camp. Euro-Leafing to infinity and beyond..... |

Hmm, with just over twelve weeks to go you’d be expecting things to be warming up? Such a shame none of the mags or a collection of LR clubs or indeed JLR have taken the opportunity to celebrate.

The Gaydon event has been running for many years, originally included the Heritage Run from the factory.
A good show plus if you havn’t visited the Gaydon Museum you need to, and here’s your chance👍 |

So let me get this straight. The organisers want to charge a minimum of £28 per vehicle for the privilege of setting a record they want to set. That’s £28k minimum. Really!!!!!! If it’s just turning up to do that bit and help set the record, which would help justify the £110 for those attending the whole event , then it should be free as it’s the vehicle owners doing the event organisers a favour, not the other way around !

It's a meaningless record. Why bother?

There were quite a few posts up the other day on the facebook page with links to reports about the organiser's previous fraud history - which funnily enough got deleted.
I'd be interested to know who the 100 traders who have signed up for this are as well - I'm sure they don't get that many at the big Land Rover shows. Euro-Leafing to infinity and beyond..... |

well I attended this 'attempt' in 2018, the 70th Anniversary
https://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/world...-vehicles/ 640 vehicles I'm sure JLR have built and enthusiasts have re-built more since then. |
