I recently bought a set of 'ultra bright' sidelight bulbs for the front, worked great for all of 2 weeks then one by one the LED's died. Contacted the seller (on fleabay) who immediately sent out a new set FOC. Worked great for all of 2 weeks then one by one the LED's died blah blah blah.
So, does anyone have a recommendation, don't went to just keep repeating the same mistake with different suppliers, is it possible just to get a brighter conventional bulb. Any advice greatly received..... |

Have you tried ULTRALEDS?
I've bought stuff from them before, and always had good results.. ... ,-------, .. I [__][_]|__ .. I __ |"_|"__| .. "(o)====(o)" ^^_-^-_^-^_^^^^^--^^^^ PAUL G7ALW 14.200 USB 26FB458 / 27.275 SSB |

Keen to see how this unravels. I put some LEDs from Autobulbsdirect.co.uk in my xc70's side lights, made a great improvement, and they're now over a year old with no problems (they needed to be cambus corrected).
I was thinking about getting a led bulb upgrade for the Defender, but haven't seen any either (just the full units at +£50 ish like the mobile centre ones). The "normal" LEDs to replace the bulbs are just 1 watt 207 replicas (or at least the ones I have found)... I haven't studiued this in detail yet...but...are the front sidelights the same size as the reversing light? Could you use one of these? http://www.brookwell.co.uk/item/8114/led-nas-type-reverse-lamp- Let us know how you get on please? Thanks Shax, think they have just what I was looking for. Re NAS reversing light, much larger than standard side lights, and as mine are recessed in KBX grill would not fit.

I put one of these:

.........no need to drill holes either, can make them just plug straight into you existing Land Rover plug....and if you want to push the boat out, have the DRL kit ones, best of both... Putting Dreams on Drives at JLR Solihull.. |
