Replacement Mirror Arms
Hi,

My mirror arms are starting to look a bit worse for wear, the coating is starting to flake off.

I cannot seem to get the genuine parts anywhere, all out of stock with no expected date. oOther than the Optimill options, does anyone have any experience with a good set that look standard (+ standard length) that haven't let them down or corroded?

I am not keen on the £9.95 route Sad

I guess I could have them re-powder coated? Would this work?

I just use Britax ones which afaik are the same as genuine.

No paint issues on either of the pairs I have bought new years ago.

Hi Steve,

Thanks, do you have a link to those?
Does this look about right in terms of £, never heard of these people before?

Top tip: if your looking for genuine mirror arms but don’t want to pay full price from dealers, look for the surplus MOD Wolf conversion kits on Ebay (other auction sites are available) they come as a kit containing rear lights, bolts, and other bits plus a genuine mirror arm, (plus other bits depending on kit) similar to the below

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/362626640277?ha...SwA3dYGkq9

I purchased and had delivered 2 kits just for the mirror arms for less than copy/equivalent arms alone, I gained 2 rear steps + bolt kits, 4 rear side/brake lenses, 4 x 24V bulbs (not useful for a 12V puma), bargain. Thumbs Up Contact the seller to see if they can do a deal. Zaid-M

I honestly don’t.
But I do know that the ones supplied in the conversion kits are genuine JLR stock. Zaid-M

Britax has been taken over by ECCO, Britpart Mirror heads and Arms comes from the same factory in Taiwan.

Needless to say, the manufacturing quality isn’t what it was.

Possibly why JLR can’t get hold of Mirror Arms and Mirror Heads?
