[SOLD] 2008 Java Black Defender 110 2.4 TDCi XS SW
Ad-id 220329-284

After lots (and lots!) of procrastination, I am sadly listing my Defender 110 2.4 TDCL XS for sale.

High level details below and bound to be lots I’ve forgotten, so apologies in advance!

Genuine 7 seat XS model with usual factory fitted refinements e.g. electric front windows, heated front seats, heated front windscreen, air con (re-gassed in Summer of 2021), half leather interior, plus some additional upgrades listed below. The chassis is sound without any welding as is the bulkhead.

Additional upgrades and high-level maintenance:
• Alive stage 1 remap
• Clutch replaced
• New Ashcroft transfer box (circa 3 yrs. old)
• Brand new engine (NOT RECONDITIONED) professionally installed at 87k miles
• Alive 1" lowering springs with Bilstein shocks all round with super-pro bushes
• Upgraded rear anti roll bar
• Terrafirma return to centre steering damper
• Focus speakers all round with amp under cubby box
• NAS rear step
• Wipac led lights all round with Trucklite led headlights
• Tinted rear windows (easily removed if required)
• BFG all terrains tyres on original Boost Alloys with 30mm spacers
• KBX grill and headlight surrounds.
• MOMO steering wheel
• Hinged glove box conversion
• Towbar
• Syncro Gearboxes “slick-shift” – great upgrade
• Noise Killer soundproofing
• Silicone intercooler hoses
• New Turbo fitted during history
• DRL front bumper (one of the LED lights has broken, annoyingly!)
• Last serviced in Jan 2021
• Snorkel
• Light guards all round
• Rear half ladder
• Replaced front seats (nice and plump!)

Car has a great history file with all the above documented with receipts. I also have most of the original take-off parts (grille/lights etc.)

Negatives:
• Side steps could do with refurb or replacement – starting to look scabby as they all do eventually!
• Few marks and bumps, as all the best Defenders have! (previous owner also had a roof rack which has left a few marks)
• Broken DRL (I am trying to source a replacement)
• Rearmost seat backs are slightly shabby and could do with refurb or replacement
• Light guards could do with a rub down and re-paint
• Chassis is original and if keeping I would have treated

Only selling as we have a new car inbound and getting silly with a few cars on the drive. I have priced at what I feel is a sensible price with some left in the pot for the new owner to upgrade and love!

Mileage is currently 154k miles (will increase marginally) and is ready to go to its new owner.

Photos of interior etc. to follow

SOLD

Also, whats the feedback on the steering damper and Slick Shift, I hear the later makes for a shorter throw but cant see how if it raises the stick a little?

Thank you and I've priced it to hopefully move quickly, if it doesn't sell we'll no doubt keep it tbh. Just have to play "driveway" shuffle Laughing

Very good, takes a little while to get used to but the slickshift in particular impresses me. Makes the throw much more direct and positive.
