Mick 2009 110 has one in the centre of each UJ - at least mine does ! Rears are easy to see and use, fronts are a real pain ! Bob |

From a point made earlier the front swivels require one shot grease/ I use same grease as propshafts. These I check every 6k when oil is changed, mine never seem to need much.
When greasing propshafts I always jack up a wheel so the props can be turned, front and rear. Steve Defender 90 TD5 Station Wagon Discovery 3 HSE BMW 330i Coupe |

Swivels require NGLI 00 grade, whereas UJs, NGLI 2, and of different composition. Puma 110" SW

Rossy mentioned this earlier, why should you not pump until the excess grease comes out?
I have never greased my LR but always do my trailers and mini digger with the pump till it's visible rule. I have yet to damage anything or suffer a problem but if it's not a good thing to do it would be nice to know why. Nick 2.2 110 Tipper |

In some applications if you pump away untill you see grease coming out it can knacker the seals, allowing crap to enter.
We have bearings on site where too much grease can be more of a problem than none! |

FYI my 2008 has grease nipple on the front of the front UJ. I was told to grease a UJ until you heard a crack, as the old grease was forced out. Then you stopped greasing.

Took these two thingies
http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B001ILAEWY/ref=oss_product http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B001ILF3O8/ref=oss_product and got grease into every 5.000 km, but that is for frequent offroad use. Ordinarily greasing at maintenance by the dealer should be ok for road use. Never forget: cars have owner, Landrover have field service personnel. |

Thanks - I eBay.de something similar but had to file down the sides to get it into the UJs (actually I did it twice because I cooked the rubber in the first one with my angle-grinder (Winkelschleifer - love that word ) |
