Performance is pretty good, I have no complaints.
Economy is good if you drive relaxed and mostly outside the city. Like any other car, it's all about how much and fast you push those pedals. Here's my mpg log: https://www.spritmonitor.de/en/detail/1230897.html MY2021 Defender 90 P400 SE |

our P400 is now approx 16 months old and hit 26,000 KMs. Highway / motorway
based driving even at reasonable speed the wagon can return approx 10.6L per 100 KM,s, about 26.4 MPG. Around town and general local abuse it comes in at 13.2 per 100 KM's, so nearer to 21.4MPG.. Some people reckon their P400 is far worse, but mine seems to return a reasonable number.. yet another pommie bar steward down under MY20 110 P400 SE Defender MY10 3.0 RR Sport |

Admittedly based on a lot less data than others have posted but my two tanks have averaged 19.5 mpg. This is mostly A roads and motorways with about 15% in Central London.
