United Kingdom 2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Stornoway Grey
My Stornoway Grey, 110
I’m back in the seat of a Defender, having sold my last one for something faster. Despite being spoilt with twin turbo's and air suspension, I missed the adventure of a Defender.

I previously had a 90, where I started the quest of my perfect Defender. This time I'm taking to completion!

Here we have my 110 Station Wagon XS as it started. Story gets interesting as after doing some searching, it was JSG's (a forum members) from new. Since it's had minimal work but been kept in flawless condition. Service book has additional pages added from the serious number of oil changes and service history over the years. It really does show that there are some passionate people out there.

Prior to me it has already had:

• Alive Remap (Discovered when I went to have it remapped)
• Smoked Wipac
• Roof rack + Lightbar
• Snorkel
• Android headunit
• Black boost alloys
• Chequer plate to wings
• Tinted windows.
• Security box underneath cubby
• Soft A Bar with Lights
• Stainless security bolts

Over the last 4 months, I've had the following done:

• Respray of the following due to signs of corrosion: Roof, Windscreen, Rear Window panel
• BAS intercooler
• BAS Hoses
• Mono Prototipo Steering wheel
• Optimill QR Boss
• Optimill bonnet hinges
• Optimal wing bonnet grilles
• Zunsport grille
• Zunsport lower grille
• Headlights surrounds
• LED headlights
• Remove roof rack + cheap LED bar
• Sound deadening to (bonnet, front & middle)
• Focal iBus 2.1 (Mounted under rear seats)
• Focal ES100k
• Focal to rears
• Reversing camera
• Ceramic coating

Love that. Less is more, I believe.

Looks so nice on the boost alloys and snorkel. 2008 2.4 110 Utility Station Wagon XS.

Hopefully the photo of the rear gives a clearer light of the wheel colour. Can also see the reversing camera I installed just above the wiper spray

They're actually coming off this weekend as I've bought a set of twisted classic's to go on

For the search, I thought I’d upload what I did for the sound deadening to be bonnet.

Degreased the bonnet

Applied the dynamat Xtreme bonnet pack

Then used a a roll of hoodliner

With the remainder I then used the rest to fit the remainder + foil taped

Looks thorough! Has there been a noticeable reduction in cabin noise?

I’d be curious to know about the reduction in cabin noise as well. Defender looks great! I also have a Stornaway 110!

The twisted classic wheel is lovely. Much better design and better made than the old sport IMO. I am sure you are pleased but the big question is white letters out or in?? Laughing my money is on out. Andy
