[Wanted] genuine rear (& front) mudflaps for Puma 90
does anyone happen to have a set of Genuine rear mudflaps from a puma-era 90 available?

I'm looking for a set with this rivet pattern:

rather than this pattern:

unfortunately my current flaps have the 2nd pattern for which it is impossible to find stainless brackets. And I'd rather replace and sell mine than drill extra holes in the rubber.

As a secondary requirement, if anyone has a set of genuine front flaps in very good condition, I'd be happy to buy them.

Thank you.

...for some reason the first picture isn't coming up when I'm adding the img bits around the link. But seems to be OK once you click on it. here is the direct link to the defender with the rivet pattern I want

it seems to be a completely mixed bag - at some point (mine's a 2010, so assume 2010-onwards) there looks to have been two different designs in circulation at the factory. I've seen later vehicles with both styles on them.

I'd be very open to your set if you're happy to part with them. If you could pop over a picture so I check they're the right ones for me and a price that would be ace.

4x4 Overlander seem to sell stainless brackets with the hole pattern that you're looking for:

Thanks LRA. Yes that was my first port of call too and I bought a set last week. Unfortunately, when they arrived they were a different pattern - not like the photo. Spoke to Brendan and he explained that there were two types and the ‘other’ pattern was the only one he had in.

I still have them in the garage, but before I send them back for a refund I thought I’d just see if I could get some alternative flaps at a sensible price.

To avoid wasting time I’ve managed to find a rear picture of the SVX if you zoom in you can see the pattern. That matches your first picture?

Well well, always learning something new on this forum. Never knew there are two types ! Mine are as per the first photo. I put YRM stainless on the front when they rotted and was planning to put stainless on the back but impossible to get stainless with that raised profile section as per oe, so just putting on genuine oe. Luckily they are the same as they ones which coming off. Just trying to keep my vehicle as factory looking as possible.

Hi guys.

@SVX - yes, the picture you've posted of your 90 (lovely, by the way) are the mudflaps I'm looking for in the correct pattern. So if you still have them, I'd be very interested.

to be clear: The stainless brackets that yourself and LRA posted no longer exist - these are the ones I ordered and when they arrived the pattern had changed to the more common style. If they did still exist then they would have fitted the original mudflaps I have here. As they don't, I need to buy an alternative set of rubber flaps to fit the more common stainless brackets that are on the market (and the ones that were delivered from 4x4 overlander). Phew! that's complicated. The basic gist is: your ex-svx mudflaps are perfect for me Laughing

@lakelander, you're fine. All the stainless ones on the market match the first picture (the picture with the "cars of somerset" defender) and match SVX's 90. Its the second picture for which you can't currently get stainless replacements - they were obviously available at some point, as shown on the 4x4o advert above, but are not being made at present.

Its really not a massive drama, just an extra hole in the rubber - but I just don't want to put a hole in mine.
