I went from 235 factory fit conties in 16 inch from new to 10yrs, replaced with 265 bfg ko2 in 18 on slightly more off set wheels immediate impression was they were smoother and quieter but gripped less, now I have about 1500 miles on them they as still quieter and smoother and grip brilliantly round corners in the dry and it stops much more quickly when I have to stamp on the brakes. When the roads are slimy I still think they grip less than the conties but by small margins The car looks loads more Tonka , gets loads more comments and it makes me happy every time I look at it with them on, and yes I have the white on the outside. I read all the reviews and wanted the new Pirelli scorpions as they are lighter and have great reviews but couldn't get them with the wheels fitted. DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS, I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy |

I’ve been running Cooper st Maxx for over 6 years on 16s and I really struggle to fault them.
They sit halfway between a Mud and an A/T, and come in 18s. Quiet, great off road, tough , good on the road, they also look great too. I shall definitely get another set. https://4x4tyres.co.uk/product/265-60-18-c...gIq6fD_BwE 2002 td5 90 county hardtop |

I have the BFG 18” on my 110. Agree they look cool. Not too much tyre noise and I’ve found they grip well on the road both wet and dry. Not done any serious mud plugging but they’ve been great on farm tracks and fields too.

Cooper AT3 4s get my vote. Quiet, comfortable and good in the wet. More of a road foucused all terrain tyre. Big weight saving (5 kg per tyre) over BFG KO2's
