That looks really smart. The only comment I'd make is that I think all of the pictures should be in landscape format. The one chosen for April looks wrong compared to the others because of the white space either side.
The actual picture choice is pretty good too, especially considering the very high quality of submissions so far! There are probably enough for a decades worth of calendars The only odd one is, again, April as it doesn't feature Defenders Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing? I only did this so people could see what it might look like and I don't suggest we do it through iPhoto as they cost over £14 each
For example http://www.digitalprintpartnership.com/ will do 100 A4 wire bound for about £3.25 each. I also think we should set up some sort of vote for which pictures are used. |

Yeah, I did appreciate that Having offered it up though, I was just trying to give a bit of constructive feedback. A vote for the piccies to be chosen would be a good idea, given the wealth of material. How about grouping the existing submissions into months, or perhaps seasons, to narrow it down a bit? Also, a few ground rules on the type of picture might help. If it were me that might include, landscape orientation, only Defenders, no other vehicles in shot, no people in shot (vehicle occupants excepted), minimum resolution (not sure what this might be). There might be others worth considing too, such as numberplates to be obscured? For something that's going to be sold, there might also be some legal niceties around copyright that need to be clarified. Please don't think that I'm trying to steal anybody's thunder here. I think it's a great idea and I have a space on my office wall ready and waiting. LandRoverAnorak totally agree with your sentiments, anyone know if it's possible to set up shared galleries on here so we can have one for each month for people to drop into themselves?

I've just had a play and it doesn't look like it, unfortunately. How about four threads - one for each season, and folks put their pictures in the appropriate one? When the number submitted in each reaches twelve, the first post is edited to add a poll to choose the best three? Let the poll run for a week and at the end you have twelve pictures selected. It's not particularly elegant, but it should work. Unless anybody has any objections, or a better idea, I'd be happy to set it up this evening when I've got a bit more time? Ok all, as nobody has shot me down in flames, I've set up some seasonal threads to try and choose some calendar pictures. I'm slightly nervous at the complexity, now that I've done it, but in for a penny, etc. After all, what's the worst than can happen Darren
