A right mug…
No not me (although that’s debatable).

I’m looking for some new camping mugs and wondered what you guys have and recommend?

I’ve had/got a number of collapsible mugs and the usual melamine tat, but want something a decent size, will take a bit of a bashing, and stackable if possible.

Not asking much really…

What do you have your brew in when you’re out and about?

Personally I like my brew in a fine bone china mug… more robust than you would think Thumbs Up

Perhaps it doesn’t meet all your criteria but great to drink from Whistle Ride like you stole it!!
If I’m not on a bike it’s because only a 4x4 will do…

For twenty-odd years, we've had a set of twin wall stainless mugs that we use for camping. They've proved to be very robust and the twin wall design means that they retain the heat of the contents. Darren

A Censored China mug. You only break ones you like, and I hate insulated mugs. Too hot when you make it, can’t tell how hot until you try it, then takes sooooo long to cool you forget about it and it becomes too cold to bother with.

My wife suggested same - so maybe I was too quick to dismiss - can’t say we’ve actually got any. I’ll check in Go Outdoors Whistle

I am partial to stainless…

And 20 odd years sounds like a decent ROI…

Any pics and details of brand?

I'll snap a pic when I get a moment but as for the brand, I'm not sure. Possibly Gelert? A quick search shows that there are lots of very similar ones available. Darren

We've got Contigo travel mugs, not overly cheap but all stainless so they don't taint the taste and completely leak proof. They're also well insulated. Day to day camping we use the old style enameled camping mugs.

Dowan Ceramic Mugs
Right size, proper handle, made of ceramic stone with a cork base has a 'resolved' lid
that works without leaking, around £20 each... SKIP

Thanks guys - too many to choose from!

Never thought that fine bone china would feature so prominently - but the people have spoken! Rolling with laughter

Really intrigued by Skips second offering.

To be honest, I’ll probably end up with something completely different to what I set out to buy / which tends to be the case.

Still looking…
