Hi Marco. Sounds awfully familiar to what happened to my TD5. Ended up being the Topside switch and ultimately a replacement ECU. Sorry to say.

As above it does sound as though your ECU is failing. 🤷♂️ Have you opened it up to have a look inside? 2010 Range Rover MkIII Autobiography Super Charged (Idris)

I have never opened the ECU, all I can say is that the model is NNW501300.
I did a diagnostic with a person who has an old "nanocom", but he was very unavailable and only gave me a reading without even resetting the error codes for a later reading. The codes that came out are: (first page) - DRIVER DEMAND I LOGGED HIGH - AIR FLOW CIRCUIT LOGGED HIGH - AIRCON FAN DRIVE OPEN LOAD FAULT LOGGED (Air conditioning is not present) - TACHO DRIVE OPEN LOAD FAULT LOGGED - AIRCON CLUTCH DRIVE OPEN LOAD FAULT LOGGED - AIRCON FAN DRIVE OPEN LOAD FAULT ACTIVE - TACHO DRIVE OPEN LOAD FAULT ACTIVE - AIRCON CLUTCH DRIVE OPEN LOAD FAULT ACTIVE - HIGH SPEED CRANK SYNC LOST FAULT LOGGED (second page) - INJECTOR FAULT(S) LOGGED - VEHICLE SPEED OUTSIDE BOUNDS FOR CRUISE (WHERE FITTED) ACTIVE - TOPSIDE SWITCH FAILED PRE INJECTION LOGGED - INJECTION 1 OPEN CIRCUIT DETECTED LOGGED - INJECTION 2 OPEN CIRCUIT DETECTED LOGGED - INJECTION 4 OPEN CIRCUIT DETECTED LOGGED The most serious problem seemed to be the injectors and now I find also a match with the "topside switch" mentioned by geobloke, however this code reading didn't help me much because the active errors were of other nature (that anyway I don't understand) and the injectors errors are all "logged", so they could be of very old problems. This was the first diagnostic reading ever done since the 2003 purchase. If anyone sees anything particular that can help me, thanks. |

Now that you have those codes from the initial scan next step is to clear the codes and see what comes back after startup. 2010 Range Rover MkIII Autobiography Super Charged (Idris)
