I wasn't going to comment but I believe you are having an avoidable bad experience.

The people you view as dreamers and time wasters are viewing the car and seeing a reason not to proceed. I understand this is frustrating, but if that many people are giving you the same feedback through their actions, you need to do something different.

You've been given a lot of good advice on here which summarised my own thoughts when first viewing your advert but you have not taken it up, which is a shame. For the sake of £100 on a new front end and lights and removing that light bar, you would appeal to a completely different buyer. Perhaps one that won't 'waste your time'.

I hope this does not sound harsh.

No not at all but timewasters - people who arrange to view the car then they dont turn up or respond leaving me to waste my time cleaning the car etc beforehand.
Dreamers - offering £11k without even seeing the car or even asking any history about it.

Just reduced my gumtree and AT adverts to £13000 now.

Notwithstanding all of the feedback and comments to date, and taking into consideration your less than positive experiences, I still think it’s a nice, sound Landy, and I hope you are able to sell it at the best possible price and it goes to a good home Thumbs Up

I retract my comment, those are indeed timewasters and not a result of the car's configuration.

I do think it's a nice truck so hope you get a swift sale soon.

Thumbs Up

Lucky you - it’d be great if you could keep both, but I appreciate that’s not a practical proposition.

Enjoy both whilst you can Thumbs Up

Fingers and toes crossed.
I’ve shared my personal view - I find it hard to believe it hasn’t sold.
Of course markets are unpredictable to a great extent, and the Defender market is even more unique, but having said that, it looks like a great Defender and the right buyer will get themselves a cracking example Thumbs Up

Thanks matey. I hope so!
I need to start on the puma!!
I know!! I've had a few low ball offers from Walton 4x4s recently - they'll prob respray it stick some sawtooth alloys on and put it on there forecourt at £15495 or something silly.

GUESS WHAT!

Still for sale Crying or Very sad
2 more time wasters this week and another guy who paid a £50 deposit then decided against it!
At least he let me keep the £50! But would rather sell the bloody thing as it’s annoying now.

Would happy accept offers just over £12k now.

My 2 pence...

When I was looking to buy mine back in 2018, I steered well clear of anything that had been modified.

If it were me selling, I'd spend ~£120 to replace:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/372761011018?ep...BM7pL5oI9g

I'd also remove the light bar too.

It reminds me of when my dad sold his house. Struggled for ages and then the agent suggested he replace the bathroom - it sold within a month and shortly after completion, the new bathroom suite was in a skip on the drive Laughing

Anyway back to cars, I think modifications are super personal and lots of people just don't have the imagination to mentally remove the stuff they don't like. My advice would be to make it easier for them and get it back to looking as original as possible.

Thank you for the comments.
I removed the light bar and snorkel already - I have the original front lights and side repeaters so will get them swapped over.
I’ve currently got 62 watchers on eBay! Having lots of messages/calls - I’m not sure if the price was too optimistic to start with?

Surprised I’ve not had more messages on here to be fair?
