Noisy Driver side A-pillar
I thought I had read this somewhere else but I could be wrong. My driver side A pillar is very noisy when the vehicle is in motion. Disappointing for a brand new car. It sounds like a twig tapping a window pane or sand trickling on a hardened surface.

I’ve pressed my hand to apply pressure at different points along the pillar trim and corner dash but the sound does not stop. I also thought it might be the door frame stereo tweeter but no. It seems to be underneath the A pillar trim piece.

Anybody else with this issue? Find the culprit and/or the fix? '21 L663 X-Dyn HSE P400 Carpathian

It’s the trim on the outside of the A pillar. There is a factory bulletin for it, the dealer will be aware and will be able to apply the fix.

The B pillar thing in the video above is a different noise.

I had a rattle inside the B pillar that wasn’t the window shaper thing, the local dealer fixed it while the car was in for something else to be fixed and I haven’t had that rattle since. I don’t know how it was fixed but suspect it was something in the seatbelt mechanism or the belt webbing vibrating Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come

Is there any more recent bulletins than this - only the Parts fitted to the car are AD version - so later than mentioned.

L8B2-03178- AD and L8B2-03179-AD

Covers were already a tight fit - sliding on / off.

Thanks

Shame ~ I've emailed a few in the past, most ignore but a couple of replies have gone a long way to restoring some faith that there are decent people in the company.

Was there ever a bulletin ref the B pillar noise? well not the B pillar but the drivers door rubber top corner where the window goes up into. So its B pillar area but not the B pillar. My car has developed a noise like a hair dryer it starts at 50mph and gets louder as the speed increases. If I touch the rubber it stops the noise. I end up wedging my covid mask between the glass and rubber to stop it. 130's have feeling's as well you know Smile

Mark on here posted videos - basicaly use some black silicone and stick the rubber pad to the car door insulation behind the rubber.
