You can have the best of both worlds. You can fit a softer spring like the Alive comfort or softer LR springs. When you need to tow a big trailer or carry extra weight e.g. camping you can use

Has anybody tried them ? wonder if the alive springs are same dia as standard LR?

My 1992 110 tdi is still on it's original springs. The shocks were changed about a year ago. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel
