Todays Modifications..
Decided that the truck needed a little TLC so have spent a few quid on toys!

First off the tool chest (thanks TC)been after one for a while, really pleased with it nice powder coat and secure storage for kit.

Next up some side trim panels from Mudstuff, I opted for the extra nets and glad I did. They come with some meaty foam insulation and were a doddle to install even for a non tech (union rules ofc). Unfortunately I did have to hack them a bit so the lid from the chest would clear but its no biggie.

Next up was to replace the standard head unit, I wanted something that could be used as a NAV as well. I already have a parrot kit installed so didnt need phone function. Halfrauds had a nice looking head unit at half price which seemed to fit the bill. A Navsure N420i. Quite impressed with the quality, pretty simple install just plugged straight in. It has a motorised LCD panel that disappears into the dash when you want it out the way, a short video on it opening and closing.

Lastly a reverse camera, I went for a small black camera from reversingcamerasuk, good value for money and not too big. It draws less than a watt so I've connected it to the perma live. The supplied lead is plenty long enough to reach the head unit. Picture is much better than the photo as the light in the cab was not great.

Last job is to refit the bench seats, I have dropped them off at the local fab shop to be chopped down and re-welded as the chest takes up some of the room.

POM you could press on some piping to tidy up the cut edges. Cut a length of small diameter black/grey pipe down it's length and push on Thumbs Up

It's a heck of a lot louder than the LR radio, at least double. Radio is same, handy to have the traffic system though.

For the money I'm really pleased with it.

good job pom, the camera is excellent .. great to know you would be able to spot any children, pets or posts behind your truck.

is it a wired or wireless camera?
