Was looking for some gardening equipment on gumtree and came across this. Any idea what it is!

I would imagine for lifting, and rolling grass turf. No Guts, No Glory.

That’s what I thought but when I looked at turf spades they didn’t look like that.

Just spent best part of 20 minutes googling images of spades and nothing in the hundreds of photos matches this tool. Thought it might be for cutting peat but definately not 2010 Defender 90 300Tdi CW (White/1994)

It certainly is an odd one, looking at the design it appears as if it’s some form of lever.
I suppose it maybe completely bespoke. Perhaps in something to do with pipe laying or levering though, those use for trenching are usually narrow and square. I spend my life lifting and laying slabs but can’t see how that spade would help😄

that looks like one that my dad used to for installing the ram bars, Longer than a standard spade. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back
