Community group type bank accounts

For those who are members of small groups i,e Amateur Radio group, maybe a small community based group, who do you bank with?
The reason for asking is the bank the local Amateur Radio group that I am a member of will soon be charged £5 a month which may not sound a lot but that's like two more members that need to join just to pay for the fees. We are already a small group as it is so if there is an option to move accounts to a more community friendly account then this will be considered.

I run a scout group. They're gradually all ruining community/charity accounts as it's another low profit/high hassle product line sadly.

Some of the banks do offer business accounts that remain free under a certain threshold of turnover. I have heard that metro is one of them!

Also check out Tide. Its an app only account and they only charge for transactions - e.g. 20p to receive electronic funds. If you don't need a cheque book it should be fine.

Wise also now has Uk accounts but I don't know their charges

revolut does a business account also Searching for my first Defender...and started just as Covid hit, so talk about timing.

5 months after starting the search I found it, and here is the details

Metro are looking wobbly. Not sure I'd want my money in there. I know it's safe up to £85k, but what a load of hassle if they do go down.

Revolut aren't a bank (they have no UK banking licence), so no cover if they go under.

No idea what constitutes a 'Community' account, but Starling are free if you just need basic banking services for a business or personal account. Just no cheque book.
