I'd actually seen that one and discounted it as it seemed aftermarket.
But, if that is the same layout (with the same curve in the ARB) as an OEM setup then its actually a lovely clear image so I can confirm the correct routing. |

Interesting, never really thought about the routing, but I guess your's looks like this:
Click image to enlarge with the roll bar going under the track rod, rather then what is shown in the first picture I posted and also another one I found below Click image to enlarge looks like it depends on the direction of the links connected to the axle |

Between all the photos above - that's great thank you.
Yes, exactly as described above, the 90s been in for some work and it looks to me like the ARB has been replaced upside down (note the ends curve up not down) and then the drop links now connect down from the axle not up off it. No great drama, I'll just remove and swap it - the new nylocs arrived this morning. So plan is: disconenct drop links from ARB. Remove ARB alltogether. Flip ARB over and reconnect drop links and mounting bushes. Here's how it currently looks. To be fair, if you weren't used to Land Rovers as the garage weren't it actually looks like a perfectly sensible way of doing things, here's some pics of it before I go and correct it: Click image to enlarge |

Yes, you will need to flip the ARB.
I would also suggest you try it out without ARB altogether. I found the ride much smoother without the ARB. And articulates a bit better at the front when offroad. It rolls a bit more around roundabouts though. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing 2012 90 CSW, 2.2TDCI, Santorini Black |
