Water from aircon ? There is a rubber 'duck mouth' on the end of the aircon drain. It gets blocked so the water can't drain and builds up. When you park up the trapped water slowly finds its way out.
If it is this you are going to have to get under the vehicle and reach up above the front of the gearbox and unblock the duck mouth. Be prepared to get a wet arm. 130's have feeling's as well you know |

Hi, thanks so much for your reply. It does look exactly like water from an aircon unit but mine doesn't have aircon unfortunately so it can't be that.

Ah thanks. It only leaks for a few minutes after stopping. Does that sound right? Would the water be clear if it's the pump? Shouldn't it be coolant? The coolant level seems fine you see. Sorry for asking so many questions. Do you know if it's an easy job to fix?

You’ll struggle to see a different colour unless heavily mixed give it a taste if it’s sweet then prob coolant

Only other thing I can think would be heater matrix again would be coolant leaking failing that check your washer bottle but wouldn’t matter of running or not with that
No where else for water to come from 2008 110 2.4 XS Utility (Hagrid) 2002 90 TD5 Hardtop (Sully) Sold 1998 300TDi D1 (Billy) Sold |

Thanks that's great advice. I collected some of the fluid in a jar and it was definitely clear and odourless. I'm over in Europe at the minute so I've not got a Haynes manual with me sadly but isn't the water pump on the left hand side of the engine as you look at it from the front? The leak is on the opposite side if so. Would it leak all the time or only after having driven the car do you know?
Thanks so much for all of this. I'm just worried about being stranded somewhere! |

The water pump is on the nearside of the engine, not the offside.

Can I ask why you think it's worth changing the VCV valve at the same time please?
Very occasionally I've had a problem where the engine loses power until I stop it and then restart. I had thought that it was a sticky EGR valve but it has done it twice since having the EGR valve deleted. Some people have suggested that it could be the VCV valve so it sounds like a great idea but I'm not sure whty it would be worth changing it at the same time as the water pump. |

Could it be a blocked outlet on the air intake box for the heater. There is a rubber valve in the base which can become blocked with leaves and detritus. Worth checking.

^^ This. If you're not losing coolant or screen-washer fluid, and don't have a/c, there is not much else it can be.
