DEFENDER GU61VDF, 2.4tdci puma stolen from Petersfield stati
My defender 90 Puma Hard top has been stolen from Petersfield Railway station. Colour silver.

It has several distinguishing features. It has a much older rear door and it has high vis chevrons on the door only.

The hard top has 4 mm drillings on the sides and rear to take applique high viz markings.

The electrics under the drivers seat are connected by a military pattern multi-way plug and socket in order to facilitate quick removal of the seat box.

It has a slave lead socked mounted on the seat box, passenger side.

It has an antenna in the roof. Even if removed, there will be a hole in the roof.

Obviously, if seen, report to police as it is uniquely identifiable.

Dear All,

There is a £1000 reward posted on Facebook.

It is extremely distinctive with the rear door being Hi viz and the rest of the vehicle is silver.

Also I did not mention that two of the front bumper bolts are stainless steel and 9/16 AF not 13 mm.

We think that it might be parked up to cool off

be careful with offering rewards, Some people do like to feed people sh!te, someone local to me had theirs pinched, and the " thieves said" £300 and they will return the motor. The owners didn't believe them one minute,

Also i would check very local areas that are known to have stolen cars dumped, like fields, local denes etc. Also get it on every single Have your say group too.
Mine was stolen 2 years ago, and it was found two miles away, destroyed in a well known area that was used rag and destroy cars and 4x4s. They recently cleared it out and found well over 15 cars in there. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

I would only pay a reward to someone who had informed the police of the vehicle's whereabouts. To do anything else is a mug's game.

I am afraid that I did not realise that the immobiliser system was not secure. If I did, I would have inserted an interrupter system to the crankshaft position sensor. It would have been so easy. Or even maybe something that cuts out after 4 mins of unauthorised use.

I also did not realise that it is worth much more than I paid for it.

Not your fault about the immobiliser system etc, you got to have layers now pal on these. Even beef up your driveaway with ram bars, That's what we had to do before i got my replacement, as my parents have a defender, So we are not holding any punches now at all. we thought CCTV would help out, but that practically doesn't do much at all now. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back
