Thanks for the feedback. Certainly when it down at -10 it is 20ish Kms. Had a couple of warmer days this week 2-3degs and managed 27kms. But not made it through 30 yet. That said still doing 90% of trips in EV and charging up between them. On the subject of this original thread - when preconditioning with the auxiliary heater running on fuel I still seem to be drawing a lot from the battery. If it is plugged in it needs to be up at 30amps to compensate. Do you know if the car will use the electric heater in addition initially to try to get the temperature up?? Hybrid wise it is doing all of what you have said depending on how cold and if the engine has cut in initially or during the trip.
