Thumbs up for Millers oil
In my cars and Defender I have been using Millers oil as long as I remember. I started using Millers, as neighbor stock it, and gets me free delivery and everything at a good discount.

My dad was always using another premium brand.. until his engine low oil pressure starting to illuminate, oil level was normal. Connected a pressure gauge... oil pressure was practically zero Censored

Took the sump off, and the amount of sludge in there was incredible. The oil pickup strainer completely blocked, and so was the oil filter. Oil service was every year, approx milage about 4k per annum (old chap now). There was 1/2” build up of sludge everywhere. Long story short, I wiped/cleaned where I could reach, cleaned oil pickup strainer, new filter and filled in with Millers oil. No low oil pressure warning light.... well at least for 500 miles until problem came back again. Sump off, a lot of sludge was coming off. New filter, re cleaned strainer, re filled and has been fine last 1 year and 4k miles later.

Today drained the oil, and took the sump off for verification. A bit more sludge was found in the strainer and the bottom of the the sump, but the rest of the engine was spot less. A wipe on the aluminum crank case revealed clean silver metal Thumbs Up

So my thumbs up for Millers. It did a fantastic job, not just keeps your engine clean, but it cleaned the mess caused by another premium brand. Thumbs Up 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

I’ve always chosen Millers oil over the main brand's. They used to use it at work in the trucks and with regular testing by Millers proven to still good after 250,000 kilometres with frequent filter changes Shocked if it’s good enough for £95k 450 Bhp trucks I’ll chance it in a 300TDI Very Happy

I’ve also used the nanodrive and nanotech in both the Pumas and various performance cars both petrol and diesel and maybe a placebo effect but I believe I can notice a positive difference in performance and economy.

The additive ecomax in diesels also seems to work wonders also. Formerly mao99999

I know nothing about Millers Oils, and I will not “name and shame” another supplier of lubricants.

However, the old oil drained from customers’ cars by the main dealer for whom I worked would be collected by a well-known “manufacturer and supplier” to be recycled and re-distributed to the trade (and in its retail cans too? That I can’t confirm).

This recycled oil had “OEM approval” and didn’t affect warranty, and is the principle much different to the sieving and chemical purifying of sewage effluent?

Prejudice perhaps, but I only use oil from brand-names that I know DON’T contain “second-hand” oil.

Depends on what you call recycling? If the oil is tipped back into the crude at the refinery then IMO we're all good, once the oil is distilled/redistilled we are back at square one.
If however, the reclaimed oil is simply filtered/cleaned and checked for viscosity before being repackaged then I certainly wouldn't want to use it in any vehicle of mine!
Please name and shame, why not?
