I've never used 303 on tyres but I know a few chaps who swear by it for UV protection on soft tops and boats.

It is usually recommended to replace tyres that are over 6 years old. This is particulary relevant to trailers and caravans that may do low mileages and therefore tend not to wear their tyres out.
Are your tyres deteriorating within 6 years or are you trying to achieve a longer life? |

Trying to achieve longer life. I will replace tyres due to condition rather than age.
I have never, or do I intend to, change a tyre on a six year cycle. I have never had an issue with any tyre due to age, unless it has started to show signs of cracking etc, which I can then act upon (usually get it replaced). I have read that the issue with caravans etc is the lack of use, in that tyres need to be used to keep them supple. The other thing is over or under inflation - so For example, tyres with a slow puncture will suffer (as often they stand or are driven at low pressures), which I presume creates too much flexing. With over pressure tyres, they are put under too much stress on the side walls. I am hoping that a suitable product may well keep the tyre wall in good condition and as such allow me to use them for longer without issue. |

Oddly I use that 303 stuff in a completely different way, for protecting coloured plastic shades on outdoor lights that are prone to suffer fading through uv! It seems good stuff and also restores colour, not cheap though but I only apply it a few times a year and seems to go quite quite a way.
Not sure about tyres but sure it could work, obviously rain will wash it off eventually, but less so on a vehicle that sits about a lot than one that's driven due to spray on wet roads etc... |

Not only UV but Ozone is a big contributory factor to tyre (rubber) degradation.
You should never have a fridge or similar in your garage with your pride and joy as the electric motor produces Ozone and all your rubber parts perish Ride like you stole it!! If I’m not on a bike it’s because only a 4x4 will do… 2011 2.4 Puma 90 HT |

I emailed the company that make 303 - response is here;
Thanks for your email. For tyres we’d recommend 303 Tyre Shine. This can be found here: https://www.303products.co.uk/shop/303-hig...rotectant/ Alternatively, there is an aerosol version, which can be found here: https://www.303products.co.uk/shop/303-tyr...t-aerosol/ Hope this helps!
