So Gents the saga continues.

I had a phone call from Ian at IRB and thereafter a video call where I showed him what I was doing and he is as puzzled as I am as to why they aren’t fitting, he doesn’t think that I am doing anything wrong but somethings not quite right.

Now buttoned back up again with an appointment for Monday at a local Independent Landrover Garage to see what the problem is.
I will let you know how it goes.

Thanks for all advice Gents

^^^^^^^^^^^^
How did it go ? I’m intrigued as to where the problem is / was. I.e a tight fit into the seal or the splines not aligning etc.

Turned out the half shaft hadn’t been machined down enough so it wasn’t actually anything that I was doing wrong.

Ian from IRB arranged for a local independent Landrover garage to have a look at the problem and they very quickly diagnosed the issue, the OSR fitted as it should.

IRB sent a replacement the next day, however, due to time constraints I have yet to fit it but hopefully I shouldn’t experience any issues.

Ian appears to be bemused as to how this has happened as he says he has both supplied and personally fitted many sets of these without issue.

I can’t fault him for his customer service and support to diagnose the issue, the only thing I could take away from the whole experience is to make sure that in future I am wearing my reading glasses when using measuring devices.
