Click image to enlarge A horrible task today removing sprayed on underseal from the bonnet. Thankfully this was made easier using the stale petrol that I tipped out of the tank when replacing the fuel pump. Click image to enlarge Got the lamps wired too. |

That looks like a job that would be easier with the bonnet removed? Darren

Most definitely but I'm working solo. I'd also have to remove part of cage.

Great work
Should your bonnet have the buffers, as in Item 8 in link below? https://www.lrworkshop.com/diagrams/land-r...ed_52644#8 FYI only, when I was restoring my bonnet, I removed the frame from the skin for a proper re gluing job, as the glue had failed, and the bonnet vibrations was really irritating me (perhaps you will notice that on your beautiful V. But what I found was horrible... there was practically no paint on the skin side of the frame and loads of surface rust From underneath, everything was looking perfect as my TD used to spray oil everywhere 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing 2012 90 CSW, 2.2TDCI, Santorini Black |

Bonnet buffers had totally disintegrated so at great expense I ordered new together with new door card clips.

Thanks for the comments. It's forum members interest in the project that makes it worthwhile taking the time to photograph and post
