Ran a Prius for three years (not the current model, but the previous one) before coming back to Land Rover. Lets just say that hybrids need to go some way before they can challenge petrol/diesel cars. Sure they can be smooth, but that could be directly related to having no real 'go' in them. The worst bit is the hybrid con-trick. Driving like a nun could get up to 60 mpg (best manufacturer figures at the time was 65mpg) and on motorways, holding back to 65-70mph, returned a best of 55mpg. Previously, a BMW 330d regularly returned 65mpg or better if you drove 'carefully' and was no worse if you drove 'with spirit'.

I know there are those out there who will try to ravage my POV but it's just that...my POV.

Wholly electric might be a different perspective and things clearly have moved on, but we need a better solution than current hybrids!
