£267 fine? 3points? For an unsafe load and carrying too much speed through the corner? Why not a ban? That’s not bad luck or a moment's inattention, that’s a complete lack of professionalism that could have had far more serious consequences.
Had that been an older non monocoque built car (our Defenders being a prime example) that could have resulted in a death. That was a palet’s worth of concrete slabs, so what, a 1.5t load? And that hit the Tesla plumb on the windscreen and a-pillar. Our A-pillars, or those any from similarly aged vehicles, would have folded flat. Driver and passenger serious injured or dead. I don’t get how Magistrates come to their conclusions. Unbelievable. Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

The courts are beyond a joke, they’ll persecute trivial things and pre actually innocent people.
They’ll instead find and let off the more serious cases with minuscule fines and trivial action. For example if a millionaire was caught speeding in a Ferrari (or similar) they’ll probably hand out a £100 fine which is change to them and nothing else more. Instead did it being proportional to income. If we did it on here, we would probably get a £500 fine, 6 points and probably threats of license bans. That and the fact if it was tried against anyone many people would be denied even getting legal representation the Justice system is that bad. In this video the load obviously isn’t secured properly, and excess speed on the corner is evident to see. I agree, it would easily have been fatal. About 4 years ago I once had a very large bolt and nut come off a scaffold lorry going in the other way and flew directly towards me. It went past about a foot away from the side of me luckily! Even at around 30mph each way that’s a combined speed of 60mph impact. No Guts, No Glory. 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |
