1999 TD5 Defender 110 orkney grey project
I have been on this form for almost a year now and thought I would start a thread on my Defender!

I found this online after looking at over 80 or so Defenders in many countries. Spoke multiple times on the phone and then had shipped unseen as it showed no signs of rust despite its 16 year age. It was originally in Spain where it was painted and sent for further work in the Netherlands where I bought it from.

I had them take pictures of the under body and engine which all looked good.

The family seemed to like it and so the upgrades began.

I started with OME suspension, terrafirma galvanized then powder coated rock slider/tree guards and dinitrol to preserve the investment.

The roof and the back windows leaked. After spending $1600 on trying to solve this the leaks increased!

Slowly started to feel at home in our west coast rain forest minus the rain.

Time to add some lights!

Went for the JW EVO 2's after much debate. Scene lights is the back and some fog/driving lights. Added the Defender badge which helped break up all the silver.

Also did LEDs for the blinkers etc

rack off.

Thanks. I think the leaks are solved, at least for the roof.
