Given recent threads about one car garages, all electric futures and even a post or two on the Porsche 911 Safari, this looks like it could address all that in one car:

It does, doesn’t it. I think they look very cool, but when you look at its retro styling it makes you think that there’ll be a lovely little yesteryear burble from the exhaust, so that may be a bit odd. Put your foot down, shoot forward into the bush, but hear nothing. Maybe, a little like noise cancelling headphones, maybe electric car companies of certain models, should feed a background ‘exhaust’ noise into the cabin just to offer some character? Can’t see how that can get through checks with all that metal hanging out the front. Especially in America when they’ve been ruining the looks of cars for years with safety stuff.

The Alpha JAX would be very high up on my list. In fact if it were to come out looking like that, I'd quite likely switch the Model 3 to that as I could really do with the extra ground clearance, and I'd prefer something where components can be easily changed. Plus it looks awesome. Only the range would cause me to pause as I find the 500km mark to be a nice minimum due to range dropping a lot in Finnish winters.
So I really hope they actually succeed in creating it, and bringing it to Europe. |
