Quite an impressive difference between the rest and the LR offerings. But then the Rangie didn't make the top 3??

I think, like the G63, it was discounted on cost grounds - with the fantastic performance of the G on high speed road tyres and with 3 lockers it really should have won, but like the RR it’s in a different league price wise to all the others. I thought that they mentioned that right at the end of the test and that the next test they do will have those two competing against vehicles in the same price bracket. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed! |

I suspect the revered off road status on the older Land Cruisers and Patrols comes from bomb proof long term reliability off the beaten track in the middle of nowhere, rather than absolute off road capability. It's one thing spending a day pushing a vehicle to the limits of its capability off road. But very different to running a vehicle for hundreds of thousands miles, day in, day out, in slightly less but still challenging challenging conditions. |
