I have something similar in the garage, how many do you need? I'll check tomorrow.

Ideally 8 to 12, but I'll take any multiple of 4 to get me an additional shelf. Let me know what you want for them. Also, my cabinet appears unbranded, does yours have any markings or details that may point at a manufacturer? |

You could always use corner brackets and bolt them? or Rivet them if you are slightly handy?

Thanks for the thoughts
Do you mean a bolt through the hole and into the raised rail? There's no access to get a nut on and I don't really want to drill through the sides for every shelf. Rivets - I'd discounted this because of the size of the hole being so large , depth available possibly being too short, but mostly the semi permanent fixing this would give and then pain it would then be to move the shelves. A rivnut or blind bolt might would work if I could get one shallow enough to fit into the existing cavity. perhaps one of these: Click image to enlarge The other solution I'd thought of was to add another sets of rails alongside with shelf brackets I could actually get hold of. I'd have to drill the sides to fix them but it would be less intrusive with only 3 or 4 bolts per rail. https://www.ironmongerydirect.co.uk/produc...gIEmvD_BwE |

We just binned a whole load from work of this vintage. When I am next in the office, I will take a look for you and see if any more old ones are due to be binned 1999 Defender TD5 110

Or make your own brackets, something like 2 L shape bolted together, and fit 2 loose fitting cap head bolts such that the head of the cap bolt go through the holes in the cabinet, and they move down to lock in place. Gravity will help to lock further.
Having the T shape bracket (2 Ls) mean that one side will be locked against the side of the shelf so cannot fall off. Idea of the 2 Ls: https://www.abeytrade.com.au/bolted-clips/...-brackets/ 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing 2012 90 CSW, 2.2TDCI, Santorini Black |

Dinnu - good idea, I'm sure it would work but I'm going to putting a lot of (relatively) expensive equipment in the cabinet so want to go for a "fully engineered/over engineered" solution. However, I'm going to see if I have any appropriate cap head bolts to try the idea. |
