Have you tried seat risers?
I’m 6’2” and most of my previous 110s and 130s have been station wagons or crew cabs so I can push the seat right back. My recently purchased 110 Dormobile is based on a hard top with bulkhead. It came with Exmoor Trim seat risers fitted to standard puma cloth seats, a completely different driving position but I find it very comfortable. As an aside I am going to remove the top half of the bulkhead, but that is to give me a slightly longer bed, as a bonus it will give me even more legroom when driving😊 |

Thanks
I've ordered a set of seat risers, to see if that will work Iggy/Ieuan ‐------------------------ Vehicles: - 1992 Ex-Mountain Rescue Ambulance 130/200tdi - 2005 Discovery 3 S - 2001 BMW 535i V8 |

I have similar riser but about half inch higher at the back than front. Allows an extra click back on the recline.

I'd be worried about the feet bending/snapping with those fitted. I've already had to weld my feet back together and to the runners on my seats and that is in the standard position with the runners partially resting on the seat box.
The standard runners/feet are not the strongest design so perhaps a full length box section riser that also supports the runner might be a better long term solution now you have tested the position? |

These are the risers on my Dormobile, can’t see a manufacturer but I suspect they may be Exmoor Trim.

Having looked at Exmoor website I don’t think they are the same, mine look more like offerings from Terrafirma and others on eBay🙂

+1. My 1988 90 also had broken seat feet, standard mounting directly on seat box. Seatbox also cracked under runners 😣 After that I fitted 50 x 6mm flat bar under the runners to spread the load too. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing 2012 90 CSW, 2.2TDCI, Santorini Black |

The runners were redesigned in 1997/8 the be a one piece pressing to remove the separate feet and as a result are much stronger. |

I'm only 5' 9" tall so i'm lucky that i don't need the extra length but i did want some more comfort so i fitted a set of XS half leather heated seats, very comfy and a bit taller than my old standard seats
standard seats, all level Click image to enlarge the middle seat is is till standard but you can see the difference in height with the XS seats Click image to enlarge 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper. Clayton. |
