Indicator signal goes through hazard switch. I would be pulling that as first port of call and testing it. Cheers

Ive recently just put one of the new metal switch panels on, I'll double check there's no touching wires/loose connections.

Ground stud likely loose or dirty, especially check the one on the RHS of the transfer box for the rear lighting loom.
The two rear indicators have tow separate ground ring terminals on there. Twice I have had that stud come loose. On my last fix I used low strength Loctite A small amount on the thread and then tortured as I seemed to come loose despite being tortured correctly. Usually these things are grounding related, you can also stick a multimeter on the ground terminals of the indicators with them turned off and run a continuity check with it. If you get a high reading you’ve got a poor ground, both should read around the same as close to zero Ohm as possible is a good reading. Poor grounds can cause all sorts of weird issues, including lighting up random contours or entire dash. It could be something else but it’s a really common thing, and caused by vibration and harsh conditions Defenders are subject to. No Guts, No Glory. 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

All sorted turned out to be a dodgy orange bulb in the wing side repeator.
