LT230 overhaul, change the shafts?

I'm about to overhaul the lt230 and was wondering is it worth changing the shafts?

I remember seeing defender 90 keswick had a video where the old shaft had issues fitting a nut on and thinking maybe the shaft isn't hard enough.

Only if they're damaged or worn, or if you have too much money and want to get rid of some!

If they are in good condition and within wear limits, why bother?

I guess I'm just wondering are Ashcrofts ones superior. This is going to be an overland rig with a centre atb and doing lots of off-road. I usually like to be better safe than sorry. But if it's just overkill and burning money then I'd rather keep that money

I would suggest giving Dave at Ashcroft a ring. Explain to him what you are planning and he will advise accordingly without trying to get you to buy stuff you don’t need.
