Brake judder
We have a 240D First Edition bought in June 20, now done 34,000 miles.

Noticed slight brake judder about 10k miles ago which has got progressively worse. Local dealer has driven when I called in and agrees there is a problem and noted what appears to be glazing on sections of the front disks which they will look at when it is booked in for deeper investigation in a week or so.

They did ask whether we towed with the vehicle, which we do quite a lot, mini diggers on tri axle trailers.

The judder varies from light at times to frankly awful, anyone else had this problem?

They have informed us that brakes aren't covered by the warranty, is this correct?

If you’ve done a lot of heavy towing I’d say 34k miles is pretty good to a set of discs. They’re probably slightly warped

Don't think they are warped, feels different from warped disks, they seem to 'grab' as you decelerate and come to a halt.

The glazing is the strange thing.

We have been told that disks were not available anyway at the moment from Land Rover which isn't very helpful!

Suspect we will end up paying an independent to change them as I see they seem to be available online, but which ones to use, no idea........
