I have just ordered this week, and as above I have a specific date shown for handover - 11th Oct 21.
Not holding out much hope for that, I suspect that they have to put something, 5 months as a random date. |

I ordered my D250 90 a couple of weeks ago, and the order form gives a date at the start of September. But fully expect this to slip based on the media reporting and general outlook. Defender 90 HSE 250D 2022MY - Gave up after two failed orders

I ordered on the 29th April, signed the docs, got the finance done. Havent heard a thing since. Despite sending a couple of emails.

I did order my 110 by end January in Belgium. The the dealer told me mid September 21 but wasn't 100% sure. By end February I was told 20th of September would be delivery date.
But with all the chip shortages worldwide (even big buyers of electronics like Apple and Samsung are issuing warnings for product deliveriy (Apple) resp. did stop production of the Note 22/23 (Samsung) I suppose LR will be in the same trouble although officially LR does say no problem. 22MY Defender 110 (actual) | 10MY Freelander 2 (history) | 15MY Discovery Sport HSE (history) |

Thanks for your replies. I guess the conclusion is that no-one really knows with any certainty what's going on with defender production at the minute, other than to expect delays. Selfishly, it's sort of comforting to know that others are in the same boat though and I'm not just being taken for a ride (or if I am at least others are as well
 )
My dealer said "I'd rather tell you the truth than give you false expectations - I have no idea when your car will be built or delivered at this time" I must admit it's refreshing to meet an honest salesperson, even if it was a bit blunt! |

I ordered end of March and was told (and this was reconfirmed this week) that it was being built 4th June for delivery 25 June. Based on what I’m reading, this sounds way too good to be true. Order was through DTD though and they needed to guarantee within 12 weeks I think. There was a caveat though that the global computer chip shortage could impact this.

Similar to me, I ordered mid March, was contacted by dealer mid April with a build date of 8 June and a delivery date of 29 June. He also said this may be earlier. I contacted the dealer last week to see if I could add an option but was told it was now “past the date of amendment” Hopefully this means it is still going to meet the quoted dealer dates. No mention of chip shortages at any time by the dealer. Ordered mid-March (as soon as I could for the 22MY), due to be built yesterday (21/05). Will find out on Monday if it did! Once the build date was locked in it hasn’t moved.
D250 XS so probably quite a standard build as the XS has limited additional options. |

Same story here - ordered mid-March, build was locked 12th May, build date is 11th June with estimated handover 17th July.
Same dates I've been given since order was out of holding pool late March and no mention of delays or shortages. |

Ordered 9th May. Was initially told 10th October for delivery. Local dealer called a couple of days ago to say this has now been brought forward to 24th September. 22MY Defender 110 X-Dynamic S Santorini Black D250
