Is it too expensive at that?
Values are all over the place and it’s difficult to judge. I could always take the wheels and seats out and put it back to standard and reduce the price. Seams a shame though!! |

Great looking 90! I suspect value is really down to how quick you want to sell it, but not unreasonable.
I'd love the seats but at not huge money James MY2012 110 2.2TDCi XS SW Orkney Grey - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic43410.html MY1990 110 200TDi SW beautifully faded Portofino Red - https://www.defender2.net/forum/post743641.html#743641 MY1984 90 V8 Slate Grey - https://www.defender2.net/forum/post744557.html#744557 Instagram @suffolk_rovers |

If someone bought a doer-up they would easily spend much more to get it tidy, so I don’t think your’e far off with the value.
We’ve been selling off some old BT/Openreach snotters at the auctions and they are fetching near to this all day long. (obviously with the vat) Ride like you stole it!! If I’m not on a bike it’s because only a 4x4 will do… 2011 2.4 Puma 90 HT |

Firstly it looks great
I think a couple of things... For me I would take it to a field or somewhere open and take some good pictures, side, front, back, engine, interior, seats and wheels etc.. Make the pictures look as good as you can. Even some of all the paper work and keys etc It all adds to the prospected owner looking at it that you have looked after it. Price wise its so difficult, a person just looking for a Landrover with little knowledge will simply think 2003 for £20K... wow ! but we know if you buy the same knocked about truck for £12K then your soon spending big bucks to get it looking like yours.. Puma's and newer ones are probably within reach so yours advert needs to pop out. As a guide you could after doing the above post an e-bay add, as many details and pictures as possible and put a reserve at the £19,995 you then list it at a start price of £14K say and see what happens?? The market is all over the place, I see ones like mind going for £8K more than I paid 5 years ago, but then others newer for what I think are a good price? very odd. Your other option would be as you say... Put some steel wheels and normal seats in and sell these for a few grand? So you could accept less? however the whole package as it is looks the part Good luck I think its just a matter of finding someone who appreciates the work you have done and understands the value. |

Many thanks for the suggestions.
I’m back at the weekend so will take better photos as I’m not in it at the moment. I had everything done properly to it and it was going to be a keeper, unfortunately I’m self employed and a number of my clients have gone into liquidation owing me money, hence the sale. I think eBay and Autotrader are the way forward as I guess most people on here already have defenders😂 Thanks again Jez |

I've sold a couple of our Defenders on CAR&CLASSIC website, they sold very quickly and for top money.
Seems to have a good cliental, with a variety of "serious buyers" on there imo. 04' 90 Td5 CSW.. |

I really need some cash at the moment due to personal circumstances.
I’d take an offer on my 90 to a forum member. Please pm me if you are interested. Best regards Jez |
