I use the same mirrors when towing as they are excellent mirrors. Just to be on the safe side I put two zip ties on each arm as they do tend to slide a bit. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to us off. Richard |

Never thought to do that ,what a good idea . I have only ever used them for short trips a couple of 100 miles so never had them slide.

Never thought about the reflection until I loaded the pictures and then I spotted what a great job I had done

I have found that with the Milenco Aero or the newer Platinum mirrors that the brackets do not grip firmly on to the Defender mirror - easily pull off whichever way they are fitted so I would definately not trust them to stay on when towing in wind

I do a lot of towing and have used these mirrors for years with no issues, the suddenly lost N/S one on the M5 and it damaged one of the caravan wheels to boot!! Definitely definitely secure with a couple of zip ties, and you'll have no problems Retired from the day job and now self employed - what a life!!
