Just shows how crap they are in a RTA & Im glad one of my loved ones wasn't sat in the rear NS seat...just one good illustration why JLR didn't want to spend any more brass on the Defender we all love.
I wouldn't drive anything else (my wife says I'm actually incapable of driving a modern car), but I am always conscious of the fact that it won't fare that well in a bash & that in reality I'm transporting myself in a vehicle that collision proof wise hasn't really improved since the 40's. But, life's a risk & driving a Defender is well worth it... Since 1973...S1, Air Portable's, Defender's, but only my Wolf TUL HS GS remains |

We should be proud that someone managed to get rear ended in a Defender.
I didn´t know it was capable of out braking other vehicles..... 1998 Tdi 90 SW, 2008 Td4 90 SW, 2012 2.2 90 SW, 2" raised Trailmaster/Terrafirma Heavy Track Raids, 255 MT´s, Recaro CS´s, anorak, wellingtons |

On the other hand, I kissed a Nissan Trail in my 90 and wrote the Nissan off Any dogs in the back of it would have died, £8K of damage to mine Off to court soon, to see why she did a full blown emergency stop in roadworks for no reason Hit her at 25MPH |

Shame.
To be fair, cannot really judge how well it took the impact as don't know what hit it, what speed etc |

Don't be daft it will not polish out, whats needed is a good lump hammer and a few cans of this plus a couple of shaker paint spray cans and it will be as good as new For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at.. http://www.youtube.com/user/conwy1 |
