90/ 110 question
As a newcomer could someone please explain how/why the 90/110 model name was originally created ?
Many thanks for any contribution.

For the old Defender it was originally to do with wheelbase, the new one it’s purely just a name. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

United Kingdom 2016 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 HT Corris Grey
Basically the smaller number relates to a smaller (shorter) vehicle

The old Defender the number related to the wheelbase in inches, ie, 90, 110, 130, etc....

The old Defender 90 is actually 93” wheelbase.

And is the 130 not 127”.

So technically only the 110 is correct. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing
