As part of my ongoing effort to track down all the bits I need for my OEM NAS lighting conversion (the whole hog: wing fronts/headlamps surrounds, repeaters, fully side markers, tub capping profiles etc: nearly have all the bits now) I've finally got round to ordering the front and rear lamps.
I did initially find a set of genuine 1997 lamps from a guy in California who was upgrading to LEDs. Then I realised I was daft as the original US fitments had quite a reputation for water ingress and that I should just buy LEDs myself. Plus they're a lot easier to fit being largely surface mount and not needing massive holes. I had thought that there were basically two choices: Wipac and the more expensive Perei 95mm LEDs. But there seems to be at least one more contender. On the East Coast Rover website they have their own brand ("Rox") that apparently have a better light pattern/closer to original - and better sealing. They seem to compare them to the Perei and say they're better still. They obviously don't make them themselves, so want to find the manufacturer. Here's the link: https://www.eastcoastrover.com/LED.html Only I can't make-out a brand name: I'm sure if I get it that they'll be cheaper to buy as a generic OEM part. The rear face has quite a unique cog-shape to it and the standard wiring is blue and white. The thing is that Masai4x4 also seem to sell the exact same lamps except EU-labelled in the UK. From the photos they look like the same lights - only Masai only sell Fog/Reverse. Here's the Masai link: https://www.masai-lights.com/NAS-style-LED...-p79847948 Can anyone ID them? If I get stuck, I'll just buy the Masai ones and get the indicators/stop-tail once I can read the lenses. |

I suspect they might be Tuff-Rok?
