I’ve decided to put my Defender up for sale, so thought I’d see if there’s any interest on the forum before advertising more generally.
It’s a 2009 (registered January 2009) 2.4 TDCI 90 XS, Santorini Black metallic with black half leather XS interior, which is in excellent condition, with no undue wear or marks. Heated front seats & windscreen (no chips or damage), air con, electric windows and remote central locking with both sets of keys & fobs.
59,112 miles, with 5 former keepers.
The MOT history is blemish free, with no advisories reported throughout, the current MOT expires December 2021.
Stamped service history (original service book) as follows;
01/06/2010, A service, Lakeland Land Rover, Coniston, 8,071 miles
20/06/2011, B Service, Lakeland Land Rover, Coniston, 24,872 miles
22/03/2012, A Service, Lakeland Land Rover, Coniston, 34,216 miles
01/03/2013, B Service, Windmill Landrovers, Blackburn, 44,598 miles
14/01/2014, A Service, Windmill Landrovers, Blackburn, 47,709 miles

19/06/2017, B Service, H Parkinson Landrovers, Chorley, 53,371 miles
04/08/2020, A Service, James French, Standlake, 58,327 miles
I’ve added a black Alston (Alcantara) headlining and renewed the rear carpets, after first fitting Silentcoat soundproofing and closed cell foam throughout the rear floor, sides & roof, which made a massive difference to the noise level.
I’ve also added SVX wheels, these were new take off’s, so in perfect condition with no marks whatsoever, fitted with General Grabber tyres (the spare tyre is a Goodyear Wrangler MT/R, plan was to replace the Grabbers to match, but I’ve not got around to it).
The brakes are recently renewed front & rear, Inc. callipers, discs and pads + backing plates.
Genuine LR one piece rear half shafts.
The paintwork is in excellent overall condition, a few marks here & there as to be expected, but nothing particularly noticeable.
It has a genuine Twisted front steering guard and Twisted dashboard / grab handles, contrast stitched in white, KBX wing vents, front bumper DRL’s, Wipac LED lights all round, Inc. headlights.
There’s a Mantec spare wheel carrier, recently refurbished, so in perfect condition.
Billet aluminium security bonnet hinges and windscreen blocks, fire & ice black side steps.
The radio is an Alpine CDE 136 BT Including DAB radio and Bluetooth telephone with dash mounted mic - pairs & works perfectly with my iPhone.
I’ve recently replaced the tow bar and tidied up the rear cross member (using the Buzzweld kit) at the same time, I replaced the rear Anti roll bar, mounts / bushes / drop links, as these were starting to look a little worse for wear. I also fitted new rear mudflaps / brackets (genuine LR). New door seals all round and I replaced the felt seals in the rear sliding windows, so these don’t leak or rattle. Both front seat belts are also new, as the ones fitted had a few nicks in the webbing.
It has a Janspeed stainless steel exhaust system fitted & Bilstein B6 shock absorbers.
I think that covers everything, PM me for any further info. I’m based near Moreton in Marsh, Gloucestershire.

Looks great! I appreciate that MOT shows no advisories but there is no mention of the state of the chassis and bulkhead particularly as you have had to replace other underside bits. has chassis been undersealed etc?Jeff

Hi, the chassis has been waxoyled at some point (prior to my ownership) and shows no signs of rust, aside some of the brackets / fixings have some minor surface rust that a spray of Dinitrol would effectively deal with. The bulkhead is in perfect condition with no rust or flaking / bubbling paint whatsoever.
