I got a D250 S 110 hardtop.
It drives like a dream, the engine is sweet as I was not expecting this vehicle to ride and drive as good as it does. It’s on coils not air. The drive is equal to that of my Discovery 5. It is a fantastic vehicle Click image to enlarge Cheers Simon I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you 1990 110 TD5 county, my first Land Rover - gone 2012 Discovery 4 XS SDV6 - gone 2014 Discovery 4 XS SDV6 - gone 2015 Evoque SD4 dynamic - Wife’s - gone 2015 Urban Truck 90 XS Santorini Black Hard Top - Reluctantly gone 2020 Discovery 5 Eiger Grey 3.0 SE - gone March 24 2021 Defender S D250 Santorini Black 110 HT - gone March 24 2023 Evoque P300e SE wife’s current vehicle |

Just a little update in case anyone is interested. We're on day 2 of a week long road trip. Henley to the Yorkshire Dales and then on to the Cairngorms with 2 adults, 2 teenagers and a large dog. So far the Defender has been superlative: very smooth motorway cruising but on the lanes around the dales it has really felt at home, very planted but with enough poke for confidence-inspiring overtakes.
Only mod worth mentioning so far is the load space divider which (whilst fiddly to fix) I would recommend to anyone doing trips with dog and baggage. Click image to enlarge Only faults/niggles so far are the plastic trims at the bottom of the door coming away a bit (as mentioned in the faults'n'fixes section). Oh, and the portable rinse system (which came with the Country Pack) - thought that might be useful with muddy dog so filled it up before heading off - gave it one pump to test it and it proceeded to explode and cover me with water (completely failed seal) - to which my wife said "that's so Land Rover". Heading off to Scotland this morning. |
