Just a funny incident that i had on my -07 Defender.
The car went for this Ecu upgrade wich was a part of some kind of recall.

This somehow rebooted the radio also, wich lead to the security code rebooting too.
We cheked the code with the dealers about 4 times. Every time it refused to work.

Then once again when i was in Lapland for 3 days whithout a working radio, i just got so furious i just entered a code of four zeros just for the hell of it and it started working. Rolling with laughter

I was about to beat the living hell out of the radio.
Maybe it was a mind reader also...

Hi all,

I just fitted a handsfree kit in my puma, but by disconnecting the radio I have the code warning.

It's a second hand radio, with no details!! Sorry second hand defender, original radio (I hope!).

Calling Land Rover, what details will they want? Will they require any documents sent to them?

Anyone know the phone number?

I think you have to go into the dealer with your log book

In my old 2008 defender it lost the code and i got a new one under warranty Mike

Is there some warranty in the radio if the code don't worK?
My 07 radio stopped working and the code has been verified by
Land Rover. Brgds,

if you dont have warranty on the car, the radio will be dead.

Same with my radio as JaffaTheNeste wrote, dealer verified the code, not working.
I entered 0000 and the radio work!
This make me believe that when the code system fail, the "new" code is 0000. Brgds,
