The Silver rear bumpers on the standard new Defender really look naff. plasticky and. Poor. Reminiscent of a Ford Kuga. Need to be in a dark shade.

But far better than the nappies on all the other LR models

And once you put a chequer plate style topper on them the do look OK IMHO

Mine came from Amazon - it is rubber not metal or plastic

Defendit..your bumper changes really look amazing. And the gloss black bumpers with Santorini work a treat too. I ended up painting the bumpers in Santorini black

That looks really smart Kubrick1978, I'll have to get in touch with my dealer if they can do the same...
I have the same wheels as you on my order (6010 in gloss black).

It's a little annoying that you can't configure the extended black exterior black on the 'base' trims. i.e non X-Dynamic and X, only the standard black exterior pack.

Second that Kubrick, looks really good.
My car is also Carpathian and I've gone for grey bumpers, gloss black side skirts and had the arch trims changed to the smooth type and they have been painted gloss black along with the wheels but also left the grille bar and letters in silver. Not 100% sure but will wait till I see it in the flesh.
This is on a 90HT by the way.

Your bumper colour is "Satin Starlight right?" what would the colour code be? and which shop would you recommend? Smile

[My dealer actual told me to avoid silicon silver because it would essentially turn my car into an X-dynamic - and he said these are quite popular]

I actually liked the look of the X Dynamic but not the gloss painted corners and sides because they are not Off-Road / scratch proof.
I ordered the black headliner, Ebony Dinamica Suedecloth ( same as by X Dynamic), powdercoated my cross car beam dark grey.
So my 'regular' S has now a lot like an X dynamic, but without options I didn't like.

The Petrolhead - see you are in the South West - where did you get your bumpers painted please. I have a 110 coming with Satin grey wheels and would like to paint the bumpers to match. Asked L/R about doing it but they weren't that keen.

Thanks Petrol head. Annoyingly can't reply to your PM as not enough posts on forum.
Would you be able to send me your contact in North Devon please.
Also, don't suppose you know name of V8 blue caliper colour? When you search Defender V8 blue calipers doesn't bring anything up.
Thanks

All mine done prior to delivery by JLR Hendy body shop in Poole, including calipers.

Jason the body shop manager transformed mine to match V8, including door handles etc.

He does endless amounts of Land Rovers! Especially Defenders and all the later LR products
